2014/ Christmas/ Game of the Year

Hey all!

 Its the end of the year. Any MCMI veteran would know, I do a game of the year. We'll get to that.

First thing, what did everyone else get for Christmas? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what did you do over vacation? Comment on this post.
I got Battlefield Four, and today I bought Premium. Thats really it, other than some cool Rooster Teeth stuff.

This years game of the, in my opinion, is GTA V. I'll have a separate post out in due time.

A SKEL T-Shirt is in the works, funding going to me getting a Diablo game capture card, and any charitys that I might find.
I am currently thinking about making one, not yet working on it.

SKEL Gamings game of the Month!!!

This month's game of the month is Warframe, a newer PC title available on Valves 'Steam' Program, and soon, on PS4. 

Gameplay-Despite having controls that took me a while to get used to, Warframe has great game controls. The sounds are definitely to Par, and the level design's are large, but tight, promoting cover fire and the 'Cover me!' commands in chat.

Sounds-Metal on metal, running as fast as you can down the tight corridors, under heavy fire as your teamates fire at the enemy, you sprint towards the strongest one. A slash! as you swing your sword from a sprint into the powerful adversary, as the distant popping of gunfire ends, being replaced by bodys falling, and your teamates sprinting after you, to continue the mission. Warframes sounds are amazing, with the ambient noise, and the chattering as the enemy talks, before you leap from the shadows and strike with your sword, signalling the rest of your team to start shooting

Level design-You wait while one of your teamates sizes up the situation from long range cover with his sniper rifle. "Lets go in hot" he says on the in-game chat. You agree, while he fires the first shot, killing two enemys with one stone. You and your two other teamates leap from cover, sprinting towards the enemy, guns blazing. After all the enemys are dead, the sniper runs towards you and your fellows. "Lets go!" One says on chat. As you all move on, the sniper switches to his secondary weapon. You and your teamates get ready for close quarters combat, as the first enemy emerges from cover. Level design is varied on each map Warframe. From close quarter encounters, to sniping enemys at a long range, the game has a lot to offer in maps

Multiplayer (Competitive)-You and your closest friend are loading a new mission. As the level starts, you get right to work, attempting to rack up more kills, and not die. Despite the game being focused on co-op gameplay, Kills and Deaths still matter, players usually only getting five or so deaths per game. After awhile, your friend dies his last death, ending the mission. You won, this time.

Multiplayer (Cooperative)-You and your teamates elect someone as a scout to move ahead and see whats coming. As he moves down the corridor, you begin to hear gunfire. As fast as you can, you type "Go!" Into the chat box. before the message goes through, your teamates leap out of cover and open fire on the enemy, saving the scout. Warframe offers an amazing cooperative game, putting it self along with Dead Island and Halo's Co-Op campaign.

Overall-Warframe is an outstanding game, offering amazing gameplay, great level design, and resounding mutiplayer. I recommend Warframe as a third person shooter title that you guys should look at. Warframe is a free game on Steam

New free to play game recommendation

For all of you who don't know the MMO RIFT made by TRION the people that also made Defiance is now free to play so go get it from steam. I've been playing for three days and I have to say I love it because your not stuck at one position for your character class such as tank or support. They also go into a lot making it easy for people who don't want to spend all of their money on in game cash and it's also easy to get weapons which is crucial to game play. Come find me on there my character name is Mattprovost I'll even help people get on there way from the start.

So I've been playing warframe and they finaly added minor trading and I want to make a clan to help all of SKEL gaming blog viewers to get weapon mods and platinum. Call of duty: Ghosts Multiplayer

Sup homies,

After seven matches of Call of duty: Ghosts I'm done with multiplayer. If you remember revenge spawns from MW3 they're back and worse than ever. Plus the maps are nice but the effects are the best. One map something explodes in the facility and it fills with smoke making it difficult to see in close quarters. Overall I like the multiplayer.

Sup homies its the new guy Matt. So to answer questions yes I'm an admin who will probably be staying. No I won't add you on XBL (Xbox Live) or facebook so don't ask. I will be here to post for mods games and support for games and such. 

To start off I have one MAJOR recommendation for a game its called Warframe you can find it on its official website warframe.com or on the PC gaming community service Steam Warframe is free I mean it when I say it if you ever get a message saying you have to pay such and such to download it GET OFF THE SITE AND GET IT FROM WHERE I RECOMMENDED BECAUSE ITS FREE. I play it a lot it's kinda demanding of your PC but I play on my Sony VAIO with lowered settings its fun and time consuming so have at it. E-mail me any questions and I'll post answers and advice

I'm back, Baby

Hello, everyone! After a long time of being gone, I noticed that we have reached over 1000 blog views!!!! I also go on and find 4 comments awaiting moderation, and they were wonderful and made me feel great... I know I promised to post on 24 April, my birthday, but was to swept up.

Anyway, Mojang was talking about adding something big for 1.6 since 1.4. So what do they decide on

Horses.

I have been playing Minecraft since Alpha 1.2, and met Notch and Jeb. That was before everything you see today. Now, after a long time, they are adding coal blocks, Clay blocks,  Hay blocks (See a pattern here?) and horses. I am beginning to detach from Minecraft. Just because I am playing new games, and getting a life (Side effect of having a wonderful Girlfriend) so I dont play as much...

100th Post/New Blog Segment

Whats up guys, I posted the 100th post three posts ago!



Anyway, I thought up a new segment called game of the month. I find a game, not reviewed yet, not out yet, and review it here.



This Months Game:DEFIANCE



It, to me, looks like a JayZ Mixed with a fat bitch with a shotgun, mixed with Halo, put on Earth, with the graphics of the Borderlands Games

First of all, the vehicles remind me of an upgraded, more modern, Warthog or Mongoose from the Halo series.



You can see the graphics looking like a Borderlands 2 style game, mixed with the Halo vehicles. and then there's JayZ and a fat, red haired, stronger Angela from Family Guy as the main character.
It is a game set in the near-future, when aliens land on Earth but not as invaders. It is post apocalyptic, and the characters feel historical but most aren't human. It seems to be a mix of Borderlands, Halo on modern Earth,  any general alien game.

Hey guys, I am doing this from my iPod, so... What I remember is that mojang re-amped scoreboards, did stuff with bone meal, and other stuff. You can also CRAFT snow (what you find I'm taiga biomes on the ground, not the blocks) using snow blocks in survival now.

What fun for redstoners! Mojang has "Brought back some cool new feautures"

Pocket Edition Update (Copy/Paste thing shouldn't show up. Valentines day colors

The next update for Minecraft Pocket Edition has been submitted for review. This means we should see the update out in one or two weeks, for both iOS and Android. This update was originally intended to be a small patch, but ended up having a lot of new features and tweaks! Here’s the full changelog:

New features:

• Signs
• Armor
• Baby animals
• Fancy clouds
• Improved D-pad
• Stonecutter for crafting stone blocks
• Sheep can be colored with dyes
• New block types: Netherrack, Nether Brick, Block of Quartz with 2 variants (pillar and chiseled), mossy/cracked Smooth Stone Brick variants (creative only), chiseled/smooth Sandstone variants
• New stairs: Nether Brick, Sandstone, Smooth Stone Brick, Quartz
• New slabs: Sandstone
• New item: Nether Brick (smelted from netherrack and crafted into nether brick tile)
• Upside-down stairs, corner stairs
• Slabs can be placed in up position (needs testing on small screens)
• Sand and Gravel are affected by gravity

Tweaks:

• Recipes for crafting slabs give 6 slabs instead of 3 (as in PC version)
• Nether Reactor spawns Netherrack blocks instead of Obsidian
• The fog and sky color have changed
• The Nether Reactor now spawns more items
• Cows drop Leather

Bug fixes:

• Melons had several bugs where they would spawn too fast and where they shouldn’t

Notice for Android users: Starting with this update, Minecraft Pocket Edition will requireAndroid 2.3 or later. This means we no longer support Android 2.1 or 2.2, but you will still be able to play older versions of Minecraft Pocket Edition.
